HOLY WEEK SCHEDULE: There is no Mass in the Springs on Monday (3/30) and Wednesday (4/01). Mass on Tuesday (3/31) will be at 8:15 AM. The Holy Thursday (4/02) liturgy begins at 6:30 PM. The Good Friday (4/03) liturgy begins at Noon, preceded by Stations of the Cross at 11:30 AM. Easter Vigil on Holy Saturday (4/04) begins at 10:30 PM, followed by the Midnight Mass for Easter Sunday. There will also be Mass on Sunday Morning (4/05) at the usual time of 9:00 AM.
CONFESSION SCHEDULE: Along with the regular Sunday times, confession will be held at 5:30 PM no Holy Thursday, and at 9:30 PM on Holy Saturday. Additional times may also be scheduled by appointment.
NO-MEAT REMINDER: Holy Saturday is a day of complete abstinence from meat and soup or gravy made from meat.
LENTEN FAST LAWS: Starting Ash Wednesday and effective through the end of Holy Saturday, for those aged 21 to 59, only one full meal is allowed daily (two smaller meatless meals may be taken besides this, but they should not equal what you normally at the main meal); eating between meals is forbidden; meat is only allowed at the main meal (with no meat on days of abstinence like Fridays); the main meal may not be taken before noon; liquids (including milk and alcoholic drinks) may be taken any time, but fortifying drinks (such as milkshakes or protein drinks) are not allowed between meals; Sundays are not days of fast or abstinence. If you have questions as to whether or not you have a legitimate reason to be excused from the Lenten fast (illness, hard work, etcetera), please consult with our priest.
